I've been here several times and I must say its the first thing to do on your list when in Cebu..being there gives you a feeling of being blessed and makes you pray for more opportunities to be back. The altar speaks highly of how old churches were being built before with breathtaking murals at the sides and over the ceilings. Outside you will get a feel of being in the middle of a plaza in Italy with people walking around to and fro sending their praises as they pass by the main entrance of the church..at the exit you will be welcomed by another tourist attraction, the famous Magellan's cross wherein you can freely stop and take a picture of what was part of our history books and having a postcard-like pic of urself being there.

The Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu is the mater et caput of all churches in the Philippines. It is on this church that the oldest and precious religious relic in the country is being venerated and paid homage, the miraculous Sto. Niño. If you plan to have a pilgrimage in this centuries-old church and convent, here are the things that you might want to do to have a meaningful pilgrimage at the Basilica.
