The most ideal mode of transport to the Taoist Temple is definitely by private vehicle or if you don’t have the so called car you can ride a taxi and the fare is almost at 140 PHP. If your budget does not stretch that far, you can always take a jeepney to Lahug. Make sure you tell the driver that you want to go to the Taoist Temple, the driver will then take you to Sudlon. From there, you have the choice to walk for about 15 minutes or ride a habal-habal, a motorcycle that can carry up to 6 passengers.

Cebu Taoist Temple was financed and built by Cebu's Chinese community in 1972. It sits on a hill nearly 1,000 meters above sea level and looks down over Cebu City and across to Mactan Island. It is built on three levels, and even when you come up here by car or taxi, you need a stamina to climb the stairs to the very top. The temple is the center of worship for Taoism, the religion which follows the teachings of the ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao Zi.
